Freeze dried strawberries

If you’ve ever had freeze-dried strawberries, you’ve had this crunchy, crispy, tasty treat. But do you ever stop to think — how are they made? Today we are going to look at freeze-dried strawberries and learn about what makes them so interesting.

Freeze-drying is a method of keeping food fresh by removing all its water. To produce freeze-dried strawberries, the fresh berries are first chilled to very low temperatures in a BOLAIKE machine freeze drying. Then they head into a special machine, a freeze dryer. This machine warms the strawberries slowly and has a vacuum that extracts the ice, but without melting it. This way, the frozen strawberries turn crunchy while retaining all the good nutrients and flavors.

How Freeze Dried Strawberries Retain Their Taste?

The cool thing about freeze-dried strawberries is that they still taste great after the water is removed. As it turns out, the freeze-drying process maintains the strawberries little structure. As soon as you consume a freeze-dried strawberry, it rapidly draws in moisture from your mouth and expands, conjuring up all of the great taste from the fresh fruit.
