Set the metal rack in the cooler and the bottom with dry ice. Be cautious with the dry ice, it’s extremely cold! Then place your food on the rack, making sure to leave room for the air to circulate around each piece. Finally, the fan on top of the cooler is to help get the cold air moving.
Tighten the lid on the cooler, and let it do its thing. The dry ice is going to sublimate, or turn into gas slowly, in the process creating a cold place that will freeze dry your food over time. This can take anywhere from a few hours to a couple of days, depending on the type of food you’re freezing.
