Recently, Jiangsu BoLaiKe welcomed a group of key academic and research partners, as a delegation of experts from the Institute of Agricultural Products Processing at the Jiangsu Academy of Agricultural Sciences visited the company for an in-depth tour and technical exchange. This visit marks a significant step forward in the deep integration of industry, academia, and research. It aims to jointly explore innovative applications of cutting-edge freeze-drying technology in the field of advanced agricultural product processing, as well as new pathways for industrial development. This initiative serves as a vivid example of the synergistic advancement of the strategies for “revitalizing agriculture through science and technology” and “building a strong nation through intelligent manufacturing.”
Freeze-drying technology, as an advanced processing method capable of maximizing the retention of agricultural products’ original nutritional content, color, flavor, and functional properties, plays a revolutionary role in enhancing the value of agricultural products, extending the industrial chain, reducing post-harvest losses, and meeting market demand for healthy, convenient, and high-quality foods. Promoting the upgrading and widespread adoption of freeze-drying technology requires close collaboration between cutting-edge equipment manufacturing and frontier agricultural research. As a technology-driven manufacturer of high-end equipment, Jiangsu BoLaiKe’s collaboration with the Processing Institute of the Jiangsu Academy of Agricultural Sciences—which focuses on fundamental research in agricultural product processing—represents a crucial step in efficiently translating “laboratory achievements” into “industrial-scale production.”
With years of deep expertise in freeze-drying technology, Jiangsu BoLaiKe is committed to providing high-performance, highly reliable freeze-drying solutions to global customers. The expert delegation toured the company’s production and assembly workshops, R&D testing center, and product exhibition area, conducting a detailed inspection of the complete product line—ranging from small- and medium-sized experimental machines to large-scale industrial freeze-dryers. They focused on understanding the company’s core technological breakthroughs in water capture system innovation, intelligent process control, energy-saving and consumption-reduction design, and large-scale production stability. Company technicians provided on-site demonstrations of equipment operation and shared extensive application data and process expertise regarding the freeze-drying of various agricultural raw materials, including fruits and vegetables, grain and oil products, specialty livestock and poultry products, and functional ingredient extracts.
The Institute of Agricultural Product Processing at the Jiangsu Academy of Agricultural Sciences has long been dedicated to the fundamental theory, key technologies, and new product development in agricultural product processing, accumulating substantial research achievements in areas such as the preservation of nutritional quality, evaluation of processing suitability, and exploration of novel processing technologies. During the visit, experts from the institute presented their latest research progress in the development and utilization of specialty agricultural resources, quality control during processing, and the creation of nutritional and health products. They engaged in lively and constructive discussions with BoLaiKe’s technical team regarding technical challenges and directions for process optimization in applying freeze-drying technology to enhance the quality, develop new products, and achieve standardized production of local specialty agricultural products (such as edible fungi, specialty fruits and vegetables, and aquatic products from the Jiangsu region).
Both parties agreed that through collaborative innovation among industry, academia, research, and application, they can fully leverage their respective strengths: research institutions provide theoretical support in frontier exploration, mechanistic research, quality evaluation, and new product prototyping; while equipment manufacturers offer solutions in engineering implementation, process scaling, equipment customization, and industrial application. This exchange has laid a solid foundation for future potential cooperation in joint technical research, standard formulation, talent development, and the joint construction of pilot-scale conversion platforms.
