Recently, the technical team from Jiangsu BOLAIKE traveled to Changzhou to visit Hongmei Dairy, a leading local dairy company, where they successfully completed the installation and commissioning of a 10-square-meter custom-built automatic discharge flip-tray freeze dryer. Tailored to Hongmei Dairy’s specific production needs, the equipment has now undergone full commissioning and is operating smoothly. It is set to enter stable mass production shortly, thereby solidifying production capacity for the company’s local freeze-dried dairy product line.

As a long-established dairy producer in the Changzhou region, Hongmei Dairy has been committed to improving product quality and innovating processing techniques for many years. With the continuous growth in consumer demand for healthy, convenient, and highly nutritious dairy products, Hongmei Dairy is actively expanding into the new market segment of freeze-dried dairy products, planning to launch high-end snack foods such as freeze-dried yogurt cubes and freeze-dried cheese. To this end, the company urgently needed a set of freeze-drying equipment that is efficient, hygienic, and easy to operate. The 10-square-meter freeze-dryer delivered in this project is a custom-built, non-standard unit designed by BOLAIKE specifically for Hongmei Dairy’s production requirements. The equipment chamber is constructed from 316 stainless steel and equipped with specially customized food-grade shelves, fully meeting the strict hygiene standards required for dairy production. 316 stainless steel offers excellent corrosion resistance and can withstand the cleaning and disinfection processes involved in dairy processing, ensuring long-term use without the risk of contamination. The shelves are made of food-grade materials with smooth, easy-to-clean surfaces, further ensuring product hygiene and safety.

In terms of structural design, the standout feature of this equipment is its tilting tray system, which can be inclined at a 45-degree angle. This innovative design significantly streamlines the material loading and unloading process: once freeze-drying is complete, the trays automatically tilt, allowing the material to slide down into the collection system by gravity. This eliminates the need for manual unloading of each tray, reducing the physical strain on operators, improving production efficiency, and minimizing the risk of cross-contamination from manual handling. This design is particularly well-suited for high-frequency, high-volume operations in freeze-drying production lines for dairy products.

In addition to the shelf tilting function, this equipment also integrates BolaiKe’s proven automatic unloading system.
