Jiangsu Bolaike recently completed a freeze-drying process trial for graphene at the request of a client. The finished product came out as a dry, loose, fine sand-like granule, and after being shipped to the client it received high praise — the freeze-dried material fully retained the original physical structure of the graphene powder, with good overall appearance and quality.

Freeze-drying graphene solution places high demands on a system's temperature control precision and vacuum stability. For this trial, Bolaike recommended a 40-square-meter mid-sized freeze dryer, capable of reaching freezing temperatures as low as -35℃ — below the -5℃ eutectic point of the graphene solution — meeting the requirements of the freeze-drying process.
The equipment is fitted with dual-layer radiant plate technology, in which the hot and cold circuits operate independently. The upper cold circuit uses direct heat transfer to rapidly freeze the material, effectively locking in graphene's microstructure and preventing collapse or agglomeration. The system is also equipped with a domestic-brand vacuum pump, delivering a fast vacuum drop and stable operation to provide reliable support throughout the freeze-drying process.
| Parameter | Specification |
|---|---|
| Equipment scale | 40 m² mid-sized freeze dryer |
| Minimum freezing temperature | -35℃ |
| Graphene solution eutectic point | -5℃ |
| Cooling system design | Dual-layer radiant plates, independent hot/cold circuits |
| Vacuum pump | Domestic brand, fast and stable vacuum drop |
On the process side, the Xinshidai Freeze-Drying Research Institute under Bolaike brings together global experts in drying technology. The team developed a precisely controlled freeze-drying temperature curve tailored specifically for graphene, using a staged, gradual temperature-rise drying approach to ensure stable, consistent quality of the finished product.

As a recognized manufacturer of industrial freeze-drying equipment, Jiangsu Bolaike has spent many years focused on vacuum freeze-drying technology. The company holds over 80 valid patents, including more than 20 invention patents. Its product line spans the full range of needs from laboratory research and development to industrial-scale production, and it has built experience in freeze-drying high-end materials and biological products, including:
